Pengalaman Perjalanan ke Kathmandu!

Hello semuanya!

So, ak kirimin kompilasi post2 ku di Instagram ya. Inggris Indonesia aja. Disimak ya!

First time we arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport

Surprising thing when we arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport was almost all passengers that went to baggage reclaim area were male!! 99%!! We didn’t see a lot of girls at the airport here. It’s a bit weird. And among those many guys, can you spot a Portuguese? LOL

Our first meal in Kathmandu

So after we arrived in Kathmandu, kita jalan2 cari makan malam (atau makan sore?) di daerah Lazimpat.
Keduanya enak banget! Ayamnya dateng dengan saus hijau yg doi ogah coba “I don’t trust that green stuff”, dan ak si pemberani yg sakit perut setelah makan, langsung colek sambelnya dan yaaaa rasanya enak. Organik daun2 gtu HAHAHA

Horaaaayy!

Nepalese Food with Nepalese People

We were so much spoiled by Marcio’s Nepalese acquaintances. We really spent almost the whole day with them and ate the tastiest Nepalese foods around Kathmandu.
धन्यवाद we’re having such a good time here 🙂 .

For lunch, we went to a Nepalese restaurant near Lazimpat which I forgot the name already (I really should keep a note with me!). It was a really good place and we chose to eat outdoor. I ordered local food for sure, yeay! It’s called Dal Bhat. It’s a steamed rice and a cooked bean soup (which at first I found it weird), served also with potato, achar (pickle), vegetables and chicken curry. Annnnnddd IT WAS SUPER GOOD! Like really really good!! You really need to mix them to get the best taste. Yuuummmm, it’s like Padang food, but (for me) less spicy. Cool thing about this food was the yoghurt, they gave you small portion of yoghurt for dessert! They said, it’s good to have it (for your stomach) after eating heavy Dal Bhat. Of course! People here are so considerate. Thank you 🙏 Annndd my beloved Mr. I-prefer-to-eat-food-that-I-know ordered Calzone 😪He said it’s a good one, It’s in the list of top ten calzone he’s ever eaten (which later he admitted that he didn’t eat a lot of calzones) LOL!
.
And for Dinner, we went to a restaurant in Thamel, that’s a touristic area in Kathmandu (so much like Lovina lah). We ate in the restaurant where not many Nepalese ate there, 90% were tourists. They were so kind that they ordered me another local food called Chicken Momo that happened to be Chicken Dumpling with curry sauce, yuuuumm! I could eat a lot. Because some of them are vegetarians, we also ordered veg steak and fritters. Aaaannnd, not enough seeing me happy with all those food, they ordered another spicy chicken food that came with Chapati. Duuh! Thank you. Marcio ordered boneless chicken curry, I didn’t post it here because It’s CHICKEN! And it’s CURRY! Babe, you should be more adventurous 😭
.
And another love I got was the beers! Only 2 people could drink alcohol there, so we shared beer and being more fun people than the others LOL. Fyi, Marcio never really drinks beer and of course not last night, he was busy taking care of me who got tipsy after the second bottle. I am always a light drinker!
.
So thank you, thank you very much for being soo soo kind. I love the food and the people so much! 😍

Strolling around Thamel, Nepal

“Not all those who wander are lost.”
.
But actually in this picture, we’re kinda lost, somewhere we couldn’t even pronounce the name 😅. It was really hot here, but this Singaraja girl was too curious to stop (but yeah, we stopped a minute in front of someone’s house to take this pic. It’s really a thing to remember about Kathmandu ❤️).

Let’s wander more and get lost together!

Kathmandu is a really dusty capital, I should say. You REALLY need to wear glasses and face mask, if you’re sensitive to dust. The roads are not in their best condition, many of them are broken and too narrow for 2 cars to pass (at least from my point of view, but they can ALWAYS manage to smoothly pass it). Some of the houses are really old and unfinished (or broken? Since they suffered from the earthquake 3 yrs ago). If you like strolling around clean, neat and modern area, I wouldn’t suggest you to come here. Yet for me, I found it really interesting to walk around and see the architecture of the housing and stores. It’s unique and classic.

Jalan-Jalan ke Basantapur

So we have so much fun in Nepal. Walaupun cuma sebentaaar aja, tapi sangat menyenangkan.
